Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Cover you cough or sneeze with a tissue dispose of tissue in garbage
Stay at home when you are sick
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects (e.g. your cell phone)
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Soap will disinfect Better than alcohol based hand sanitizer
Use 60% alcohol based hand sanitizer when soap and water are unavailable.
Follow CDC recommendations for using a face Mask.
At Potomac Rejuvenation Center our goal has always been to empower our patients through optimization. Over the past several years our peptide protocols have included peptides to help optimize recovery, fat loss, energy, sex drive and more. The peptide thymosin alpha- 1 (TA1) available to our patients to help optimize your immune function. .
Thymosin alpha-1 helps to improve immune system function. The peptide helps to improve cellular functions of innate and adaptive immunity. It has been shown to exhibit:
antibacterial properties
antiviral properties
antifungal properties
Increase vaccine effectiveness
Enhance function of certain immune cells
Strengthen your immune system
TA1 has been shown to suppress viral replication and increases viral and tumor antigenic expression on cell surface making them more susceptible to immune destruction. Which means that TA1 can help prevent healthy cells from being infected by viruses as well as make viral infections more visible to the body’s immune system so infected cells can be destroyed.
TA1 has been shown to increase the number of Natural Killer cells, which can kill a variety of infected body cells and certain tumor cells. Additionally, TA1 improves macrophage cellular activity; macrophages perform phagocytosis, the process where microbes are “ingested and killed.”
TA1 is thought to modulate the immune system by augmenting T-cell function. T-cells come in two forms: killer and helper cells. Killer T-cells (CD8) are responsible for hunting down and destroying our body’s own cells that are cancerous or infected with bacteria or viruses. When a virus (antigen) is present there are typically many copies of that antigen throughout the body outnumbering CD4 cells and CD8 cells. TA1’s effectiveness may come from stimulating the differentiation to active CD4/CD8 cells that can work on neutralizing foreign invaders.
